Description:

This course was created specifically for specialty contractors. Changing the way you organize documents and communicate change will take your business to new levels.  There is technology available that can help you significantly reduce rework by enhancing how you navigate change from the field to the office and back.  In this course you’ll explore the use cases for a stronger document processing system, and 3D modeling software, that can reduce ambiguities and reveal conflicting design in drawings.  Throughout these examples you will witness a new way to work, one with more effective collaboration and less unnecessary rework.

Learning Objectives:
  • Identify the consequences of unmitigated rework, including increased construction costs, schedule delays, and unnecessary stress on working relationships.
  • Explain the benefits of moving to a cloud-based drawing management system.
  • Summarize how Building Information Modeling (BIM) software can upgrade your planning process and catch rework before it happens.
  • Recognize the advantage of early and continuous communication and collaboration with all project stakeholders.
