Program Intro -- AI in Construction Program (Part 1)
Welcome to AI in Construction! Explore program goals, module content, and what to expect in your learning journey.
Course Description
Artificial intelligence continues to develop at an unprecedented pace, with the models and products they empower getting more and more capable by the month. AI agents and other products that can do more than just answer questions are becoming part of our daily workflow, and project data has become more valuable than ever.
In this program, we’ll dive into the world of AI and how it’s reshaping the construction industry. We’ll get an introduction to the foundations of AI and machine learning, examining the history, current applications, and implications for the construction industry. The program will guide you through concepts like machine learning, LLMs, AI agents, and real-world applications of AI in the office and jobsite. We’ll explore tangible examples, such as how AI can help reduce document risk, and empower project team collaboration. By understanding these concepts, you’ll gain the knowledge to leverage AI as a powerful tool in your construction management toolbox.
Upon completing the program, you will be able to create insights from data, make AI tools do what you need them to, and have a toolkit to adapt to new AI technologies as they emerge. This program provides the examples and frameworks you need to understand how construction companies can effectively integrate AI into construction practices.
To start, this introductory module will set the foundation for this AI in Construction program.
