Collecting and Analyzing Data -- Data in Construction (Part 2)
Unlock the power of data in construction. Learn to effectively collect and analyze data to make informed decisions on jobsites.
Course Description
This course is part 2 of the 5 part Data in Construction Series. This course builds upon knowledge gained in Part 1: Introduction to Data
Are you a construction professional eager to enhance your data analysis skills? This course is designed for project managers and site managers who want to transform how they use data on their projects. You'll learn how to collect and analyze data effectively to improve decision-making on the jobsite. The course offers insights into heuristics, biases, and the importance of going beyond gut feelings to make informed decisions based on solid data evidence.
Throughout the course modules, you'll explore key concepts such as sampling accuracy, correlation, and regression. You'll learn how heuristics and biases that affect decision-making, and how to identify and mitigate their impact on project outcomes. The course will also cover methods for collecting and analyzing data efficiently on jobsites. The course covers how to ask the right questions and apply various levels of abstraction to understand trends and project health.
By the end of the course, you'll possess a solid framework for data interpretation, enabling you to identify and overcome biases, thereby enhancing productivity and efficiency in your projects. You'll gain a deeper understanding of data, enabling you to make calculated decisions that positively impact your projects and teams. Learn to leverage data as a powerful tool, turning raw information into actionable insights and elevating your construction expertise to new heights.
