Executive Presence -- Leadership Communications Program (Part 1)
Develop the believability factor and relational leadership skills needed to translate technical project data into strategic business language that influences executive decision-makers.
Course Description
This module is an advanced exploration of executive presence and strategic communication, key components for accelerating career growth in the construction industry. Designed for experienced construction professionals looking to elevate their leadership skills and step into executive roles, it focuses on shifting from transactional task management to relational leadership by strengthening your believability factor—the confidence that your ideas will earn trust from both clients and executive stakeholders.
You’ll learn how to use mental visualization techniques to clarify goals and reinforce mindset shifts that support confident leadership. Through practical frameworks and real-world examples, you’ll develop assertive communication skills using the 4P Framework (Purpose, People, Proof, and Participation) to build buy-in and align teams.
You’ll also learn how to reduce scope creep and prevent project delays using the Command, Confirm, and Check model, while improving team alignment through clearer expectations and accountability. By focusing on improving how work gets done, not just what gets done, you’ll shift from managing projects to leading people more effectively.
By the end of this module, you’ll be able to translate technical field data into strategic profit speak, connecting daily jobsite decisions to financial outcomes that matter to executives. You’ll be equipped to protect profit margins, present proactive solutions, and step confidently into your role as a trusted executive advisor.
