Course Description

This module introduces the fundamentals of curiosity, deep listening, and nonverbal communication — critical skills for solving problems and standing out on busy jobsites. You’ll learn how to ask better questions, stay fully present in conversations, and shift from pointing out issues to helping solve them.

Through practical strategies and real-world examples, you’ll practice speaking up early, admitting mistakes quickly to prevent rework, and recognizing cues in body language and tone that signal confusion, risk, or misunderstanding. You’ll also learn how to stay informed and prepared so you contribute useful insights instead of doubting your judgement.

By improving how you listen, observe, and engage with others, you’ll build trust, strengthen safety awareness, and increase your effectiveness as a team member and leader.

  • Interpret nonverbal cues and body language to build stronger team connections.
