Scaffolding -- Procore Safety Qualified
Learn scaffold safety and health protocols to enhance jobsite safety. Expand your knowledge in scaffold erection, maintenance, and hazard prevention.
Course Description
This course is part of the Procore Safety Qualified Program (PSQ), a series of courses designed to provide education, strategies, and resources aimed at fostering a culture of safety in the construction industry.
Closely tied to fall protection, scaffolding safety is an extremely important element on many construction sites. Whether you’re erecting, dismantling, or performing work on scaffolding, fall prevention and personal fall arrest systems have never been more important. In this course, you will learn about the structural elements of a safe scaffolding system and fall protection measures.
Your instructor, Jim Rogers, presents an in-depth course on scaffold safety and health. Drawing on his experience in construction management and safety, Jim provides valuable insights into preventing scaffold-related hazards on construction jobsites. This course is for construction professionals, from field workers to superintendents to project managers, who need to understand and manage scaffold safety effectively.
The course is divided into several modules, each focusing on different aspects of scaffold safety. You will learn about the most common scaffold hazards, relevant OSHA regulations, and the essential steps for ensuring safe working conditions. Topics include the roles and responsibilities of competent and qualified personnel, the proper setup and maintenance of scaffold systems, and the importance of effective fall prevention methods. The course also covers the use of guardrails and personal fall arrest systems, along with guidelines for scaffold design and inspection.
By the end of this course, you will have gained tactical skills to identify potential scaffold hazards and implement necessary safety measures. You will understand how to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and conduct comprehensive scaffold inspections. This training aims to enhance jobsite safety and reduce the risk of scaffold-related accidents, creating a safer and more efficient working environment.
